Walk, Talk and Taco

Three things have been scientifically proven to affect your health: exercise, connection to other humans, and eating well. It is hard to fit all three in with work, home and parenting obligations so I am all about the combos:

  • Lunch and networking meeting with a new contact (Connection and Nourishment)
  • Breakfast and work on my to do list or read (Nourishment and Productivity)
  • Walking meeting around the office (Exercise and Productivity)
  • My absolute favorite… Walk, Talk and Taco (why do 2 when you can knock out all three?)

My friend Kristin came up with the WTT when both of us were busy working and had no time to meet for drinks (I remember the luxury of drinks in my 20s and 30s). We meet at my house on Saturday mornings and walk the 1.3 miles to my favorite breakfast taco place, Paco’s Tacos for a bowl of egg whites and salsa (Kristin adds mushrooms to hers and if we’ve walked especially hard I sneak in some sausage)

We catch up on life and work on our brisk walk there and back. We connect with Paco’s owner, Margaret and we enjoy a fairly nutritious breakfast.
